According to Puri Jagannath Temple timings, everyday at 6 in the morning, the temple priests change the dresses and ornaments of the dieties of the temple. These are the dresses that the deities wore on the previous night. Then, these priests replace them with fresh clothes and ornaments.
During this ritual, the astrologer of the temple announces the specific time for the day’s rituals. Also, during this time, other activities are performed such as bathing as well as brushing the teeth of the deity.
